POSITION SUMMARY:

Leader of significant MRO expendentures for the organization from launch, through neogtiation and award. Will consider lowest cost consistant with considerations of quality, reliability or source, and urgency need.

Defines the strategy of different commodities and manages the supplier relationship in order to purchase materials that fulfill the division requirements and targets in terms of Cost, Quality, Delivery and Service. Conduct purchasing marketing study to identify suppliers capable of providing TitanX with the best competitive packages in therm of QCD. The results shall be shared in coordination meetings with other TitanX plants. The buyer shall analyze all request for quotes piece price and tooling breakdowns received and go through a supplier selection process in order to propose the best alternatives in line with the supplier reduction program, using the TitanX tool box (Eval, Audits, etc)

The buyer is responsible for the quality of the part so that it does not interfere with and jeopardize the production of the finished goods for our customers. In the same mindset, the buyer will ensure the parts are delivered on time in order to avoid any expedited shipments and/or line shutdown.

The buyer shall be a support to the project teams to ensure that the commodity strategy is applied.

The buyer demonstrates proficiency and competency in use of both Purchasing Excellence & Involvement of Personnel tools which support the TISIX continuous improvement philosophy. Actively supports TISIX deployment, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Enviromental Health and Safety Management Systems, and supports all necessary activities to fully implement all management systems into all aspects of TitanX operations. Performs miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates MRO supplier activities with internal customers. Negotiation of all commercial aspects for MRO investments. (5%)
• Responsible for assigned department document control per IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Environmental health and safety management. (5%)
• Actively supports Ti10 Budget and activity. Creates and implements the productivity plan in line with the budget objectives by using all levers, technical and commercial productivity, QCD workshops, and resourcing. (50%)
• Performs Strategic-sourcing analyses (internal constraints, external risks, cost analysis and understanding of strategic levers, analysis of the supplier market and defines purchasing strategy based on these analyses. (20%)
• Identifies best in class suppliers who match the strategy of TitanX and selection criteria and makes the current supplier base evolve toward the target supplier base by resourcing and controlling the assignment of new business. (5%)
• Collaborates with the SQA Team to ensure the quality of purchased components including volume-produced components and new projects. Follows up on progress plans and the signing of QCD contracts. Collaborates with the PQA Auditors and project buyers on new projects. (5%)
• Updates the performance indicators for the suppliers in the Global Supplier Panel (QCD, Supplier data sheet, EHS, Financial health, etc) (3%)
• Handles purchasing administration (management of modifications, supplier files, component files, etc) (3%)
• Issue Purchase Orders; maintains files; and enters the Purchase Orders into the MacPac or emaint. (3%)
• Performs any other Purchasing administrative tasks as assigned (1%)

AUTHORITY

· As designated by Purchasing Manager.

REQUIREMENT PROFILE

• BS degree in Business
• 1 year of equivalent work experience
• Communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of priciples and techniques of purchasing
