Description

We are seeking a Landscape Architect at ETM, you will play a pivotal role in designing and planning outdoor spaces, ensuring they are not only visually captivating but also functional, sustainable, and harmonious with their surroundings. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the creation of remarkable landscapes. The following skills will be required for this position: 

  • Project Design: Develop and execute innovative landscape designs for a diverse range of projects, including parks, residential developments, commercial spaces, and urban revitalization initiatives.
  • Site Analysis: Conduct site assessments, analyze environmental factors, and assess the feasibility of proposed designs. This includes understanding topography, soil conditions, vegetation, and existing structures.
  • Concept Development: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to create design concepts that meet project goals and align with the client's vision.
  • Master Planning: Develop comprehensive master plans that incorporate elements such as land use, hardscapes, plantings, water features, and sustainable design principles.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs and plans comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and zoning requirements.
  • Sustainability: Integrate sustainable practices and principles into landscape design, including native plant selection, water conservation, and green infrastructure.
  • Budgeting: Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for landscape projects, and manage the budget throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Construction Oversight: Oversee the implementation of landscape projects, working closely with contractors to ensure designs are executed as intended.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect.
  • Strong proficiency in landscape design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and industry-standard design practices.
  • Knowledge of plant materials, sustainable design practices, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Understanding of local zoning codes and regulations related to landscape architecture.

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:

  • Possess a strong understanding of landscape architecture principles, including site analysis, grading, planting design, and construction detailing.
  • Work effectively with engineers, architects, and other professionals to integrate landscape design with overall project goals and requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage projects from concept through construction, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with contractors and consultants.
  • Incorporate sustainable design practices into projects, such as water-efficient landscaping, native plant selection, and green infrastructure design.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, present design concepts, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
