Description
Plan and design land development projects for both public and private sector clients. Projects include parks and other recreational facilities, residential communities, sports and entertainment, highways, and parkways, mass transit facilities, hospitals, schools, commercial, and industrial projects.
Requirements
· Coordinate all tasks with multi-disciplinary team consisting of clients, engineers, architects and planners.
· Compile and analyze data for due-diligence reports.
· Perform site visits to evaluate and document existing site conditions such as soil, vegetation and drainage.
· Prepare site plans, master plans, permit drawings, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
· Prepare plans and reports for regulatory approval.
· Visit sites to observe construction work in progress to ensure compliance with landscape specifications, to approve quality of materials and work, and to advise client and construction personnel on landscape features.
· Develop design strategies to address clients’ needs and budget.
· Direct sub-consultants for project needs. Design, develop, modify, review and sign and seal drawings for landscape architecture projects.
· Develop solutions to technical problems. Ensure landscape phase of project remains on schedule.
Maintain familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
· Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
· two years’ experience.
· Eligibility for Florida RLA licensure.
· A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
· Proficient in AutoCAD, Graphic Programs, and other software programs, as well as hand-drawn graphics.
· Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of landscape architecture and site design.
