Job Summary:
The Groundskeeper will perform landscaping, custodial, and occasional light handyman duties throughout the property’s building, facilities, and various equipment while maintaining compliance with the Company policies and established health and safety protocols.
Job Responsibilities:
· Completes all assigned duties to maintain and upkeep the grounds of the property, its external buildings, office spaces, and amenities.
· Perform daily landscaping tasks throughout the property including but not limited to mowing, edging, trimming, planting, pulling weeds, watering plants, etc.
· Safely and efficiently operate and maintain equipment used to assist in turf maintenance such as mowers (zero-turn and push lawn mowers) and hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruning equipment, hedge or brush trimmers)
· Performs daily upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, or other grounds features by cleaning and removing litter, debris, and other items as needed throughout the property.
· Intermittently perform janitorial duties on passenger cars and equipment which may include replenishing supplies, cleaning restrooms, fixtures, furniture, floors/carpets.
· May be assigned to various light-duty inspections and repairs throughout property to include but not limited to replacing facility light bulbs, repairing door latches/screws, and maintaining lawn equipment.
· Communicates any issues or concerns seen on the property to the reporting manager.
· And other tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must have experience with landscaping, janitorial and light handyman duties.
· Knowledge and understanding of Company policies and Handbook.
· Must have the ability to understand and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
· The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects related to the job.
· Respond to requests for service and assistance.
· Must be able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
· Must be able to perform work from written assignment sheet and sign-off for work that has been completed on printed forms.
Requirements:
· Must possess an active (class c) driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
· The employee must have the ability to meet the physical demands of the position (regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance; kneel, crawl, and reach with hands and arms).
· The employee will have regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and a moderate noise level environment.
· The employee must maintain communication with other employees and Supervisors.
· The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to fulfill all required post offer requirements.
Must have at least one-year landscaping and/or facility maintenance experience or equivalent labor work experience.
