Bandai Namco Entertainment America is Hiring a Director, eCommerce Near Irvine, CA

POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of eCommerce for Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is a cross-functional leader responsible for delivering sales and promotions for Bandai Namco brands and products with oversight responsibility for the eCommerce (D2C) business in the Americas. They will establish initiatives between Bandai Namco group companies and external partners to develop strategies to achieve revenue and other KPIs across direct-to-consumer channels.
This position represents and inspires a culture of curiosity and best-in-class product knowledge for Bandai Namco brands and eCommerce practices by leveraging data analysis and insights to guide business plans and strategic road maps that drive optimization and efficiencies.
This is a 3-month contract role with possibility for extension.Join us at our new campus in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities cross-functional eCommerce team in order to achieve gross and net revenue goals, execute product development, launch marketing campaigns, manage SKU assortment and lifecycle, maintain inventory, order processing, and the customer experience to achieve key operational metrics
  • Develop and lead the eCommerce digital marketing strategy, budget, and reporting for the BNE Store in the US and Canada and grow direct-to-consumer business
  • Diversify and expand traffic sources, establish SEO practice, grow organic and referral traffic efficiencies, improve paid media efficiencies, and maximize conversions across all traffic channels
  • Establish and develop a standardized forecasting methodology and P&L review process for Special SKUs and collectible merchandise
  • Collaborate, and/or lead effectively within the BNEA organization and with external customers/clients to ensure operational, compliance, and legal requirements are met
  • Optimize BNEA Store branding and marketing support for all eCommerce merchandise, products, and campaigns with a consistent BNE Store branding and voice
  • Ensure clear, consistent, and effective product merchandising at the point of sale across eCommerce and direct-to-consumer storefronts
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • 10 years of experience working with retailers in entertainment or consumer products
  • 5 years of experience in managing a team
  • Proven experience as storefront operator, in-depth knowledge and experience in product procurement & fulfillment, inventory management, return processing, and platform operations
  • Demonstrated strong business, communication, analytical, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Self-motivated with a passion for maximizing sales and profitability through creative means
  • Experience working with international teams and multicultural environments
  • Full proficiency in MS Office
  • This position is expected to travel 0-25%
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • BS/BA in Business or Marketing
  • or equivalent experience
Salary Range: $138,624 - $214,384
Actual base salary will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
