Position Purpose:

As the Certified Dietary Manager, you will plan, organize, supervise, and direct all administrative and operational activities of the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Your leadership will ensure our residents receive nutritious, safe, and delicious meals tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

Required Qualifications:

ØCertification as a Dietary Manager or Food Service Manager.

ØNational certification for food service management and safety.

ØAssociate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality with relevant coursework.

Ø2 years of experience in food and nutrition services management in a nursing facility setting.

ØMust meet state requirements for food service managers or dietary managers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

ØOversee the budget, purchasing, and storage of food and supplies.

ØMaintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment.

ØEnsure timely and safe meal preparation and service according to residents' care plans.

ØMonitor and manage regular and therapeutic diets.

ØParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and QAPI activities.

ØRecruit, train, and manage Food and Nutrition Services staff.

ØDevelop and manage work schedules.

ØMonitor budgets and manage revenue-generating services.

ØParticipate in menu planning and ensure meal quality and standards.

ØEnsure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

ØManage diet orders and updates, complete MDS sections, and develop dietary plans with the interdisciplinary team.
