KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE is now accepting applications for a FULL-TIME HOTEL MANAGER for The Inn at Kitchen Kettle. This position has the responsibility of spreading happiness and ensuring that the lodging team has the resources to create exceptional experiences for our guests who stay at Kitchen Kettle Village.


COMPETENCIES/SCHEDULE

An ideal candidate for this position should have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have hospitality and management experience. This is a full-time position, requiring 40-45 hours per week during peak season. Availability on Saturdays, some Sundays, and holidays is a must. This position will also be part of an on-call rotating schedule.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure world-class service to all lodging guests and be knowledgeable about Inn guest rooms, Village layout, shops, and attractions.
  • Become an expert at updating and reviewing the arrival report to ensure that all communication regarding arrivals, checkouts, special needs, and requests is accurate.
  • Become proficient in Book-It-Now (the Inn’s booking system) and master the skills of creating, canceling, and editing guest reservations via phone, online booking engine, email, and walk-ins.
  • Complete administrative duties for the lodging department, including but not limited to responding to guest inquiries, answering phone calls, monitoring, and returning emails, and being knowledgeable about guest experiences, attractions, and shops.
  • Train new team members on front desk, housekeeping, and administrative duties.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job requires being on your feet for up to four hours at a time. You must be able to walk at a brisk pace from location to location for a full day’s shift. You may be asked to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds and use a stepstool. Twisting, bending, reaching, stooping, or kneeling is required. You must be able to safely drive a golf cart and maneuver in the parking lot and driveways at the Village. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers/fax machines, cash drawers, and filing cabinets.
