A Peaceful Way Homecare, a locally owned and operated home care agency, is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team in Palos Verdes, CA. As a weekend caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals who require help with daily activities due to aging, illness, or disability. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive and fulfilling environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks on weekends, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Help with weekend meal preparation and feeding according to dietary restrictions.
• Perform light housekeeping duties during weekend shifts, such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up.
• Escort clients to weekend appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Remind clients of weekend medication under the direction of a healthcare professional.
• Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a caregiver or similar role preferred but not required.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Home Care Aide Registry (HCA).
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
