Sheraton Indianapolis is looking for a part-time Security Officer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Summary:

The primary role of the Security Officer is to provide support to the Director of Security and the other security staff by performing the following responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Patrol the property daily to maintain order and deter criminal activity and illegal activity.
• Monitor all access points and buildings for unauthorized persons or activity.
• Maintain surveillance of all entrances, exits, buildings, grounds, and property.
• Monitor all vehicles and equipment for unauthorized persons or activity.
• Control access to buildings and grounds by enforcing entrance procedures.
• Patrol the grounds by ensuring proper lighting and security of facilities.
• Investigate reports of criminal activity, disturbances, trespassing, trespassing complaints, etc. for assistance.
• Report all security issues to management.
• Perform routine surveillance on employees to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Provide support to management as needed.
• Assist in training of new employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
