The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
The Event Staff Lead supports the CCC Manager in the operation of events at the Corpus Christi Center. All responsibilities are to be in line with the Catholic mission of the parish. The Event Staff Lead reports to the Corpus Christi Center Manager.
Provides onsite supervision of staff at functions of all sizes
Acts as point person for the client and all vendors who may be onsite during a function (e.g. DJ, caterer,
photographer)
Keeps a careful eye on all facets of quality such as staff uniform, presentation of any food service areas,
cleanliness of the facility
Carefully documents any needs or issues during/after an event and communicates those to the CCC
Manager (e.g. inventory issues, equipment malfunction, personnel concerns)
Assists with the continued organization of the entire facility including the kitchen, bar area, and storage
closets
Controls building access by unlocking doors as needed
Ensures the audio-visual system is configured according to the needs of a meeting/event
Bachelor’s degree required
Extensive customer service experience and a personal commitment to excellence
Restaurant/catering experience required
Highly self-directed with an attention to detail and ability to organize effectively
Familiarity with audio-visual systems required
Serve Safe Food Manager and ServSafe Alcohol certifications (may be obtained after hiring)
This is an active, hands-on position requiring long periods of standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50
pounds. Hours may vary widely but are likely to be mostly evenings and weekends.
This is part-time, non-exempt, non-benefits-eligible position.
