Starlight Corporation is Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse Near Huntington, WV
- Ensure the overall health and safety of the client at all times
- Address immediate medical needs of clients (phone or in person)
- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times
- Complete documentation and submit to RN weekly
- Administer medications to clients as prescribed and documented on MAR
- Complete documentation (MAR, client specific monitoring) daily
- Participate in client’s IDT (when necessary) and report any perceived areas of concern or accomplishments
- Complete incident reports for all unusual incidents involving the client and immediately notify RN of occurrence
- Represent the agency and client in a positive manner
- Demonstrate understanding of agency policies and procedures
- Serve as a liaison between SBH and other agencies, community members, and medical professionals
- Work with physicians and specialists to complete plan of care
- Assist in obtaining informed consent for medications/treatment
- Assist in ensuring physician's orders are current and correct, taking off physician's orders
- Facilitate and attend (when necessary for completion of plan of care) medical appointments
- Routine monitoring of client specific issues (seizures, bowel habits, blood pressure, etc.)
- Other client specific duties as assigned by the RN
