The Opportunity

Altrad is currently in search of experienced Quality Inspectors (Insulation) to become a vital part of our team at a prominent Construction Project situated in Kitimat, British Columbia – Canada. This is a tremendous opportunity for United States Citizens to mobilise on a 2 week on, 1 week off roster, gaining global experience on the biggest LNG Project in North America. As the Quality Inspector - Insulation, you will be responsible for ensuring sheet metal and insulation works, as applicable, are completed within the project’s approved procedures. To be successful in this role, you should have sound knowledge of Quality legislation, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the project.

• Major LNG Facility located in Kitimat, British Columbia – Canada
• Flights will be provided from Houston TX contracted on a Full Time/Fixed-Term basis
• 2 Weeks on, 1 weeks off working 10 hours per day, 6 days per week
• Project accommodation provided with state-of-the-art facilities 10 minutes from Town Centre
• All flights, accommodation covered with benefits package on offer in addition to hourly rate
• Conduct formal site audits, inspections, and quality sessions as needed.
• Participate actively and provide feedback in training programs.
• Advise and support site personnel, liaise with Client liaison and relevant staff on quality issues.
• Investigate non-conformances, report findings to management, and ensure effective procedures.
• Monitor and improve Quality performance, implement relevant procedures and systems.
• Report work quality to QA/QC Manager.
• Ensure adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and specifications.
• Manage materials in accordance with approved procedures and project specifications.

Who do we want to hear from?

• Oil and Gas industry experience including 5 years in QA/QC as well as holding ICorr certification
• Contemporary and leading-edge knowledge and expertise of Quality management (strategic and operational) practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the group
• Sound knowledge of Quality legislation, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the group
• Knowledge and expertise of Quality inspection practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the project.
• Sound knowledge of Quality legislation, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the project.
• You will be required to complete and pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
