Compensation:

$60,000 to $85,000.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Must Haves:

• 3 years of experience within the Logistics/Freight.
• Experienced in Ocean Freight management (Preferably Freight forwarding).
• Well versed with federal, state, and local laws in terms of shipping air, ground, and ocean.
• Based in Houston, Texas

Position Summary:

A client of Insight Global headquartered in Singapore, SG is seeking an experienced Freight Account Manager to join their expanding team at their Houston location. The company has been established in the US for the last three years and this is a new need in terms of hiring. Their goal is to expand their footprint in the US further, so they are looking to bring someone on who is very well versed in the Import/Export/Freight industry to help foster new as well as existing clients but also utilize their expertise to build the company to the next level from an overall logistical standpoint than just from an international perspective. Someone with a growth mindset is key as this person would also set the foundation for themselves to grow as well.

Below is a list of additional responsibilities:

• Liaise with the shipping line/air lines for the operations & resolve challenges.
• Coordinate with the clearing agent for the shipment clearance.
• Follow up with the import clients for the HBL submission and payments prior to delivery.
• Provide support to the team for the export deliveries, clearance, documents release when required.
• Manage the FMC tariff filings whenever required.
• Liaise with the licensing firms for their timely payments to continuation of the services.
