TITLE: Social Worker

REPORTS TO: Director of Pupil Services

LOCATION: District-Wide

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job of the “Social Worker” is done for the purpose(s) of providing services related to the delivery of counseling and/or mental health care to assigned students at the designated school location and will provide consultation services to the school staff to support the overall student counseling and mental health goals.

• Conducts and/or coordinates individual or group counseling for at-risk students
• Have frequent and ongoing contact with families of students on caseload
• Conduct assessments as needed
• Participate on ESAP and SAP teams
• Provide in-service training to staff/parents on mental health topics when requested
• Conduct, with team, FBA and PBSP when indicated
• Develop safety plans for students in crisis
• Develop measurable goal/plan per student on caseload addressing the student’s issue/difficulty
• Communicate student progress to administrators and parents quarterly
• Maintain records of parent contact, student sessions, interventions, and weekly schedule
• Assist families in obtaining outside services
• Provide psycho-education to teachers and parents as needed
• Meet at least monthly with Director of Pupil Services to review caseload and interventions, more frequently as needed, time will also be given to collaborate with other support personnel in the District
• Participate as a member of the IEP team for students on caseload receiving special education services
• Act as an interagency liaison with other private and public agencies working with students on caseload
• Provide crisis counseling during critical incidents and other situations
• Participate as a member of the District Crisis Team to give support and counseling to students and staff
• Perform related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master Level Clinician and License required (LPC, LCSW, LSW)
• School Based experience preferred
• At least 5 years of experience at the master’s level providing therapy to children and adolescents and working with families
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of community mental health resources
• Experience conducting FBAs and PBSPs
• Ability to act as an inter-agency liaison between outside agencies, teachers, counselors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,019.00 - $50,213.00 per year
