POSITION SUMMARY

APRN serves as essential members of the GastroMed team. Our team is committed to the delivery of high-quality evidenced-based medical care with a focus on prevention, health promotion and health maintenance activities that affect long-term health outcomes. 

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct tasks of APRN’s include coordination of all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis of health issues, detect changes in a patient's health and change treatment plans as necessary, administer medicines, evaluate responses to treatments and medications, consultation, and serving as leaders within the clinical setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's of Science degree in relevant field.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience.
• GI experience preferred.
• Current active State of Florida License as an ARNP
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
• Ability to practice independently while functioning as a leader within the healthcare team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergency situations required.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, volunteers, and the public.
• Ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Excellent observational and assessment skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

• The ability to stand for long periods of time, push, pull and reach, occasionally bend, sit, stoop, and stretch.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Have a normal range of hearing and eyesight, including color vision, depth perception, close and distant vision, and the ability to focus.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent computer skills and experience with common office equipment and electronic medical recordkeeping software required. Experience with eClinical Works is preferred.
