Coordinator of Religious Education (Catholic Community) – $18.00-$22.00p/h – Hill, Utah (AFB)

The Role

Are you committed to fostering a nurturing environment that strengthens religious education? Do you have a background in theology or religious studies, with a specific focus on education? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of our Children’s Religious Education program. You will work closely with the Priest and volunteers to ensure our program is engaging, informative, and follows the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) guidelines.

This is a part-time, contract 1099 vacancy.

Contract= 5yrs/6months

20 hours of work each week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage a 10-month calendar of religious education events, including Catechist training and Sacramental programs.
• Oversee Sacramental programs, ensuring effective coordination with the bishop's office and successful execution of events like Confirmation and First Communion retreats.
• Coordinate and deliver a Camp during the summer months, providing engaging and formative experiences for the youth.
• Handle administrative duties including the preparation of publicity materials, management of curriculum supplies, and maintenance of program budgets and records.
• Ensure all religious education activities comply with Air Force instructions and local operating procedures.

The Person

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in education and/or a minimum of two years’ experience as a Director of Religious Education (DRE)/Religious Education Coordinator (REC) in military chapels or churches with a program consisting of preschool children through adults.
• Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and experience with administrative and budgetary responsibilities.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships within a diverse community.
