We are looking for a rockstar dental assistant who will help our office run efficiently and facilitate a comfortable experience for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service, should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be experienced in providing direct or indirect patient care.

Responsibilities

• Hours Mon. 8:45 am to 5 pm, Tues./Wed. 7:45 am to 2 pm and Thurs. 7:45 am to 3 pm
• Greet patients
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records

Skills

• Friendly, happy, adaptable personality

• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
• Good computer skills

• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; 1-2 years assisting experience preferred
• Additional certification or training is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.59 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
