Position: Cloud Administrator

Location: Herndon, VA - Hybrid
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Administrator to join their IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and management of our cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft 365, Microsoft Cloud (Azure), Intune, and Microsoft Defender. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of our cloud services.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in cloud administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD, resource management, and security.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and security best practices.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals

Job Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365 Administration:

• Manage user accounts, licenses, and roles in Microsoft 365.
• Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.
• Implement and manage security policies, compliance settings, and data loss prevention (DLP).

Microsoft Cloud (Azure):

• Administer Azure Active Directory (AAD) for user identity and access management.
• Manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and virtual networks.
• Configure and maintain security measures and best practices in Azure environments.

Intune Administration:

• Enroll, configure, and manage devices (Windows, iOS, Android) using Microsoft Intune.
• Deploy and monitor applications on managed devices.
• Create and enforce configuration and compliance policies for device security.

Microsoft Defender:

• Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Monitor security threats and implement appropriate responses.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability management.

General Responsibilities:

• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate with IT team members to design and implement cloud solutions.
• Document processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies.
