ATCS PLC is Hiring a Land Survey Technician Near Herndon, VA
- Perform office survey assignments
- Process the results of field surveys, including boundaries and topographic surveys, using Civil 3D and/or MicroStation InRoads/GEOPAK/ORD
- Collaborate with project team members, to include licensed surveyors, engineers, and technical staff
- Support plat development
- Assist the engineering staff in preparation of civil engineering design plans, as well as assisting the field survey crews in performance of field survey work, if required
- Support the field survey crews in performing boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, transportation and utility surveys, as-builts, and construction stakeout, if required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in engineering technology or surveying preferred (not required); college level survey or CAD classes a plus.
- Minimum of three (3) years of survey experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Intermediate knowledge of relevant technical software, including Civil 3D / MicroStation
- Knowledge of commonly used CADD and survey practices and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
