HR Assistant

We are in search of an experienced Human Resources Assistant to perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date files, records, and other applicable documentation.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
  • Maintain digital/electronic records through HRIS system.
  • File records and documentation in appropriate designated area.
  • Ensure sensitive documents are shredded and discarded appropriately.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure required documents have been collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assists applicants and current associates with frequently asked questions regarding standard policies, benefits, hiring process, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Support Lead or other senior-level HR associates.
  • Assists with application process as needed (distributing proper paper work, collecting necessary documentation, and preforming new hire drug testing).
  • Assists with new hire orientation as needed.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special Company events (Lunch and Learn, holiday parties, retirement celebrations, etc.).
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Knowledge and Skills for this Position:

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently, and also with others and contribute to a team.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and desire to contribute to a team.
  • Willing to work 40 hours weekly.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Prior related office experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required.
  • Random drug testing required after employment.
