Little Lights Childcare is a religious early childhood program in Gloucester, Va. Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Promote positive behavior management techniques
- Monitor and assess each child's development and progress
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom

Experience:
- Previous experience in childcare or related fields
- Experience working with children of various ages, from infants to preschoolers
- Knowledge of childhood development and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Familiarity with first aid procedures for children
- Understanding of behavior management techniques in a classroom setting

Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience and compassion when working with young children
- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
- Flexibility to adapt lesson plans based on individual student needs
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a structured classroom environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
