The Judge Group is Hiring a Food Safety and Quality Manager Near Haverhill, MA
This job involves managing quality and food safety at the New Hampshire Facility, leading the plant QA team, and promoting continuous improvement. The role supports various departments and fosters a strong quality and food safety culture. It involves identifying opportunities and risks, driving improvement initiatives, and ensuring the production of quality, safe, and compliant products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Quality Department’s daily operations
- Implementing and executing quality and food safety programs
- Coordinating the local HACCP Team and partnering with Corporate Quality and Food Safety
- Leading all customer, regulatory, and third-party quality and food safety audits
- Investigating and responding to consumer and customer complaints
- Managing the non-conformance process
- Leading validation of all changes in manufacturing process
- Supporting new product and process trials and launches
- Being a member of the Plant Leadership Team
- Owning the budget for lab supplies, labor, general supplies, lab services, and pest control
- Ensuring compliance with GMP’s, SOPs, Corporate Programs & Training
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Food Science or Nutrition (preferred)
- 5 years of Quality Management experience in food manufacturing
- Experience with sanitation oversight
- Strong knowledge of FDA/USDA/PCQI/SQF or BRC
- HACCP certification
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills
- Experience managing a large team
