Job Overview : As an Inventory and Materials Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper, accurate, and timely flow of materials necessary for production processes.
Your keen deductive reasoning skills and attention to detail will be essential in analyzing and resolving inventory variances, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Material Verification and Ordering :
Verify and order materials required for each print, ensuring accuracy and availability.
Daily Tracking :
Monitor the day-to-day tracking of materials, maintaining up-to-date records.
Order Management :
Create and manage order spreadsheets for material tracking.
Develop material reconciliation spreadsheets to track usage and discrepancies.
Receiving and Invoicing :
Verify that ordered materials are received in good condition and quantities match orders.
Ensure invoices are accurate and match original orders, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
Issue Resolution :
Handle issues related to material orders, including missing Material Test Reports (MTRs).
Communicate with vendors regarding quality issues and manage delays or long lead times.
Inventory Management :
Maintain inventory of equipment, materials, and parts needed for production.
Expedite and establish delivery dates for spare parts orders.
Quality Communication :
Engage with vendors to address and resolve quality issues, ensuring materials meet our standards.
Manage communication and logistics from material issue through to construction and delivery to the material office clerk.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in inventory management, materials coordination, or a related field.
Strong deductive reasoning skills for accurate analysis and resolution of inventory variances.
Extensive knowledge of Material Test Reports (MTRs) and their application in quality assurance.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in creating and managing spreadsheets for order tracking and reconciliation.
Strong communication skills for vendor interactions and issue resolution.
Ability to handle delays, long lead times, and other material-related challenges effectively.
