The Position Proposition :

• Carry out daily inspections, greasing, fueling, and safe machine operation duties.
• Set up machinery and ensure all ground conditions are safe, prior to any drilling / boring.
• Effectively monitor the operation of equipment.
• Observe the proper loading of equipment on any trailers.
• Assist labors, as necessary.
• Perform appropriate duties as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor.

Educational & Minimum Requirements :

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum three (3) years of operating various types of heavy equipment is preferred. (Backhoes, Excavators, Loaders, and Skid Steers.)
• Minimum five (5) years of operating or locating on various types of horizontal directional drilling equipment; Ditch Witch, Vermeer, American Auger is required.
• Must be knowledgeable drilling in various soil conditions and mixing drill mud.
• Experience working and drilling in the Utility / Energy industry.
