We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in all phases of the structural engineering process, from design to manufacturing and production. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a deep understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record of success.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, design, and implement structural designs for various construction projects.
2. Collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineers to achieve project goals.
3. Conduct detailed calculations to ensure the structural integrity and safety of all designs.
4. Utilize CAD software to create detailed blueprints and plans.
5. Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure that all products meet design specifications.
6. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design.
7. Perform stress tests on materials and structures to assess their durability and safety.
8. Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
9. Prepare comprehensive reports detailing design processes, test results, and final project outcomes.
10. Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and budgets.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering or a related role.
3. Proficiency in SolidWorks software and other engineering design tools.
4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and product design.
5. Excellent mathematical skills, with the ability to perform complex calculations.
6. In-depth understanding of construction materials and their properties.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
