**PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE **

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, perform patient assessments, and take dental radiographs.

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare patients for dental work and ensure their comfort

- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment

- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs

- Take digital dental X-rays

- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

- Educate patients on appropriate treatment and oral hygiene strategies

**Skills:**

- Proficiency in Dental Assisting techniques

- Knowledge of Dentrix or similar practice management software

- Experience with patient assessment and dental coding/terminology

- Familiarity with DENTRIX or other electronic health record systems

- Ability to perform infection control procedures effectively

- Competence in dental imaging techniques including X-Rays

- Understanding of general dentistry practices

- Strong organizational skills for managing medical records

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.04 - $16.03 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 42 per week
