Uniquetex is Hiring an EHS Specialist Near Grover, NC

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and policies
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Provide training to employees on EHS topics, including first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations

Qualifications:

- The employee must have at least 5 years of leadership in a manufacturing environment or at least a two-year degree in a related field or a combination- Knowledge of excel and SAP preferred.

- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certifications preferred

- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable EHS standards

- Experience in developing and delivering EHS training programs
- Proficient in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

- Good interpersonal skills

-Must work harmoniously with co-workers

- Must have a can-do attitude
