Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Review and verify timesheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Process employee changes, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates.
- Prepare and issue earnings statements and payroll reports.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accuracy of payroll data.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
- Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
