Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 Years experience in Administrative, Payroll, or Bookkeeping Roles.

Forge Industrial Staffing in Grand Rapids, MI is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Admin to fill an internal opening within our growing company! The ideal candidates Manage a variety of payroll and general office activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Requirements of the Payroll Admin

  • Internal and external customer service skills.
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Proficiency with 10-key adding machine and other office equipment.
  • Positive and professional in demeanor and appearance.
  • Available for overtime.
  • Must be willing and able to travel for training (as needed)

Responsibilities of the Payroll Admin

  • Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, preparation of payrolls, personnel, information management, filing systems, equipment maintenance other clerical services.
  • Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.
  • Answers incoming phone calls take and route messages as appropriate.
  • Researches and develops processes and procedures that create timely and efficient workflow.
  • Formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Performs payroll processing (taxes, exemptions and insurance).
  • Assists with processing of unemployment claims and hearings.
  • Ensures accuracy on timecards to reduce errors in service associates pay.
  • Maintains strong relationship with client companies to complete payroll processes.
  • Reviews records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Facilitates missing hour reports between service associates and client companies.
  • Tracks statistics and prepares activity reports for guidance of management.
  • Coordinates activities of various office functions to ensure compliance to procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
