Gear Shop Technician (Transmissions and Differentials)

Inland Truck Parts & Service is looking to hire an entry level transmission & differential rebuild shop technician. Candidates must have mechanical ability/ skills/ knowledge; valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; basic math skills; use of calibration tools/devices, and the ability to read & understand manuals/ diagrams.

Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild transmissions, differentials, and PTOs according to specifications
- Diagnose transmission issues and recommend appropriate repairs
- Test rebuilt units for proper functionality
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Transmission Rebuilder or similar role preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of transmission systems and components
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
