Thunderbird is Hiring a Machine Operator Near Graham, NC
- Accurate and safe machine operation; required to follow all safety processes and protocol
- Prepare and load parts onto and off machines as required
- Must be able to run product at desired rate
- Able to do complete set up of assigned machine centers as required
- Accountable for correctly recording and reporting data as required
- Should be actively involved in Continuous Improvement within the area to promote safety, quality, throughput, and the addition of any new equipment
- Clean machine and work area at end of shift
- Responsible for routine and periodic inspection and maintenance of machinery and or equipment, including general cleaning, lubrication, minor adjustments, minor repairs, and immediate reporting of conditions that may lead to equipment breakdown and or failure
- Other duties as assigned
- Must successfully pass drug screen and background check
- 1 year previous manufacturing experience
- Stable work history
- Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours
- Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes
- Basic ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Basic ability to write correspondence
- Basic ability to use shop mathematics including charts, tables, and various types of measuring instruments (calculators, weigh scales, ultrasonic gage, hardness tester, calipers, micrometer, as examples.)
