SummaryBe a part of our Martin Equipment work family! The Corporate Service Manager is responsible for managing overall company service performance, focus, maturity, and consistency in execution across all service locations. The Corporate Service Manager develops and monitors business plans to meet corporate sales and profitability goals. This position identifies, aligns, and implements new policies, processes, and technologies throughout the service organization broadly. Manages problem resolution to company and customer issues to resolution. additional responsibility for assessing and developing key service positions across the dealer locations, as well as being the key contact for major customer accounts and OEM’s. The Corporate Service Manager interacts with a broad range of individuals throughout the organization and departments to achieve company goals.

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control company service operations focus and operations to corporate goals in collaboration with local leadership and management teams.
  • Provides leadership in problem resolution of customer issues & acts as liaison between company and OEM.
  • Manages, monitors, and assembles competitive pricing & capability studies. Aligns company offerings required to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Service Operations Create standardized and consistent Service Policies and Procedures through all service locations. Enable new tools and technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Service Marketing Marketing/Sales Growth Develop plans in conjunction with local leadership and management. Acts as key service support contact with corporate service accounts.
  • Service Development Stays updated with latest tools and technologies, assembles business case and justification for implementing changes within the service infrastructure.
  • Training Develops Service Manager & Technician Training Plans
  • Develop, Align, and On-boarding Service New Processes, Policies, and Tools
  • Collaborates with Corporate Parts Manager to develop joint corporate goals and objectives.
Education, Experience, Competencies
  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field preferred.
  • Five years or greater experience with experience in supervising people within the customer service area.
  • Strong knowledge of construction or heavy equipment utilization and safety requirements.
  • Scheduling and supervisory experience desirable.
  • Proficient usage of Microsoft Office including proficient user of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams. Understand the use of the business systems and the Internet. (Use of the Internet should not interfere with work productivity).
  • Basic knowledge of office machines, including copier, fax, and printer.
  • Management - Ability to plan, organize, direct and control personnel directly or indirectly.
  • Leadership Exhibits leadership capabilities and competencies to develop service capabilities operationally.
  • Communication Responsive and effective in communication, both orally and written. Effective speaking and presentation skills. Effective at communicating to a wide range of individuals at different levels internally and externally.
  • Relationship Management Understands basic principles in managing and sustaining business relationships.
  • Alignment effective at organizational alignment and implementing new concepts and tools.
  • Business Acumen stays abreast of new service businesses, concepts, and tools for consideration and implementation.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position will have positions reporting as designated organizationally, or through projects identified.
Physical Requirements
  • Travel as required to company service locations between corporate and branch locations. Estimated travel is between 40-50%.
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 to 10 hours per day. Some weekend days are required to facilitate travel or urgent situations, as required.
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Some climbing when stairs are present, bending, stooping, lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk; hands needed to handle and/or feel or reach for objects, tools, or controls.
  • Operation of a personal computer/terminal.
  • Hearing adequate to communicate by telephone and in person.
  • Vision adequate to examine equipment, manuals, and computer.
Job Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, especially face-to-face and phone skills, and written communication.
  • Able to prioritize and organize tasks, all with a sense of urgency and within time constraints.
  • Able to take directions and ask questions.
  • Should have a strong attention to detail.
  • Good command of the English language both oral and written.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a professional manner.
  • Fulfill requests from upper management.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per company policy.
Personal Protective Equipment
  • All required PPE is provided by Martin Equipment and includes, but is not limited to, protective glasses, gloves, and boots.
Work Environment
  • Most work is performed in an office environment at a desk.
  • Intermittent exposure to shop environment including dirt, dust, heat, cold, fumes, noise, grease, vibration, and chemicals.
  • Intermittent exposure to hot and cold weather conditions.
Pay rate dependent upon experience.
Background check including MVR and pre-employment drug screen required.
