What we are looking for?
- Previous Mechanical or industrial experience a plus.
- Ability to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at heights, etc.).
- Ability to wear a respirator.
- Valid Drivers License/ State Issued ID.
- TWIC Card.
- Pass a physical, drug test, and background check.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with supervisor in completing repairs on USES equipment.
- Own and maintain in good condition an "industry standard" collection of tools.
- Participate in maintenance program by not only performing repairs, but also by analyzing the root causes of the equipment damage.
- Diagnose mechanical problems to minimize the need for extensive replacement of parts.
- Utilize preventative maintenance techniques to eliminate on the job problems.
- Use road calls not only to solve on the job problems, but communicate these problems so that similar episodes may be minimized.
- Keep a clean organized work area.
- Participate actively in safety and accident prevention programs.
- Continually upgrade technical knowledge, and act as an information source for service crews.
