Brandywine Counseling provides an opportunity for advancement within the IT Field by offering a clear path of advancement to a tier-2 Junior Systems Administrator position.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Under general supervision, the Desktop Support Technician position provides first-level technical support of desktop computers, telephones, peripherals, applications, and related technology. This is an onsite position primarily rotating between Georgetown, Milford, and Dover locations. Occasional travel to Wilmington and Newark may be required as needed. The role also requires onsite and remote end-user support operating through the internal Help Desk ticketing system with occasional off-hours support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Provide desktop support; Install and configure software applications, operating systems, and peripherals.
  • Provide end user application support.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and customer interactions using the Help Desk ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues.
  • Provide cloud platform and application support, including managing user accounts, groups, and licenses.
  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding processes, including setting up user accounts, permissions, access rights, and provisioning devices.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on the use of hardware, software, and other technology resources.
  • Support the maintenance of IT documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT devices and assets.
  • Order hardware as needed to support business needs.
  • Contribute to IT projects.
  • To perform other duties as assigned by Information Technology and Security Director

The Junior Systems Administrator position has the following requirements for promotion: one year experience with desktop/end user support and successful completion of the following IT certifications:

  1. CompTIA A certification
  2. CompTIA Network certification
  3. CompTIA Security certification

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 Years Professional Experience working in IT.
  • Professional experience diagnosing and repairing computer systems, peripherals and other IT equipment.
  • Professional experience with, and an understanding of, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure).
  • Experience with installing, configuring and supporting Windows Desktop Operating Systems along with common office software such as Microsoft Office and Google Chrome.
  • Professional experience with Help Desk ticketing systems.

Qualifications / Experience Preferred

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
  • Professional experience with Microsoft Intune.
  • An understanding of, and experience with, Networking principles, design, implementation, management and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills and Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to maintain professional, effective and thorough communications with fellow team members and staff.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Must be able to comfortably lift 30 pounds.

Salary

  • $40,000 - commensurate based on experience and education!
