Job DescriptionPosition Overview:Inventory Manager is responsible for accurately and efficiently monitoring the physical inventory and moving production parts to assembly area based on planning and production’s needs. Administering day-to-day inventory, cycle counts, and inventory moves. Ensures working areas are clean, safe, and organized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.   • Ensure the Inventory areas are organized and operating efficiently.
  • Implement physical stocking locations and record them in the computer system based on materials usage and accessibility.
  • Develop and Implement Inventory Cycle Program working towards elimination of Full Year-End inventory.
  • Work closely with the VP on effective inventory record keeping striving for Auditors satisfaction in inventory accuracies.
  • As part of a team solve for any inventory discrepancies and help develop appropriate procedures to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage Kanban system for the appropriate hardware and components.
  • Responsible for alerting all department managers of any shortages.
  • Coordinate with QC personnel with placing non-conforming materials in a quarantine area, preventing inventory from entering the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and Establish FIFO process for all materials to ensure integrity of materials flow.
  • Generate applicable monthly reports including inventory levels, highlighting materials need of replenishment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • The job may require additional hours beyond the normal 40-hour workweek.
Qualifications and skills:REQUIRED:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Inventory Control Manager in a production environment.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in and promote a team environment.
  • Effective organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels within the organization, vendors, and others as needed.
PREFERRED:
  • Prior experience in electro-mechanical production environment preferred.
  • Completion of higher learning, e.g., collegiate degree, technical school certification, is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in management or related field is preferred.
