Job ID: 2024-139826Position Title: Director of Product Line ManagementEmployer/Company: Safran Seats USA LLCWorksite Location: 2000 Weber Drive, Gainesville, TX 76240JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:A) Direct the activities for all Product Line Managers and team members, while ensuring departmental budgets are adhered to.B) Manage and groom all direct reports to emphasize internal customer satisfaction, timely Product Line configuration definition, formal acceptance of all configuration changes, adherence to Product Line phase gate dates, and balanced workloads.C) Develop and maintain relationships with commercial airlines in Request for Quotation and co creation Phases up until handover to Program, aircraft manufacturers and other Business Units.D) Act as primary point of contact for Airbus and Boeing for management level issues and processes with regards to product offer ability.E) Work closely with supply chain, sales, engineering, manufacturing and other departments as necessary to ensure the delivered product fulfills the contracted and customer accepted definition while working to eliminate or adjust process issues that prevent successful delivery of customer program commitments as platform owners.F) Monitor and drive the status of all allocated Product Line to ensure the highest level of adherence to Marketing requirement and Product Roadmap in accordance with SST-PGM-003.G) Directly responsible for the accuracy and overall management of the Product financials and purchase order management, which encompasses: purchase order entry / acknowledgement, concession management, NRE invoicing, credit memo generation, test seat CO creation, et. al. This is accomplished with the Program Management Group.H) Be comfortable and familiar with (multi nation) international business practices which includes being sensitive to the various cultures and/or customs of a large international customer base that the company interfaces with daily.I) Contribute fully to the tendering process.J) Drive the Product Line Managers to execute Seats Tier 1 Product Line strategy.K) Support all change control boards with the assessment of costs impacts of considered changes.L) Define and implement Safran Seats standards costs management process, in order to ensure continuity of our costs commitments across the lifecycle of our products, from advanced projects and initial offer to final delivery/definition, Line management of the costing team pending management decision.M) Support and recommend initiation of design to cost & cost reduction activities, with the appropriate owners (product line manager, program manager or commodity manager). Occasionally steer such projects when agreed with relevant owner.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, International Management, or a related Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial); • 15 years of experience using standard suite of Microsoft Office software products that must include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project; • 10 years of experience in the commercial seating aviation industry or within a comparable technical and regulated industry (aerospace, automotive, manufacturing); • 10 years of experience working with multi-level departments (for example: supply chain, purchasing, engineering, program management, and quality) in a build and manufacturing environment; • 10 years of experience working in the aircraft interiors business market and with related products, including handling discussions in technical areas of commercial seating for the aviation industry; • 7 years of Program/Product Management or Engineering experience; • 5 years of experience in New Product Introduction; • 5 years of experience in Phased Gateways; • 5 years of experience serving in an effective and motivational leadership role; • 5 years of experience communicating with teams for project strategy and completion, including peer level and senior level peers; • 5 years of training experience, including training managers to be effective leaders; • 5 years of experience negotiating contracts from inception to approval and working in an adversarial business environment; • 5 years of experience developing resources and requirement plans that align with company product strategy; and • 5 years of experience in an environment that requires a strong work ethic, independent work setting and self-motivation for optimal work performance. • Work location: Hybrid with 2 days a week remote available, other work days onsite at the Gainesville, TX office location. Must reside within commuting distance from employer's Gainesville, TX office. • Requires up to 20% domestic and international travel. • Experience may be gained concurrently.
