Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to my elderly mother (86yo) who is predominantly bedridden at this point in her life due to some physical limitations, but is mentally alert and capable of conversation with visitors.

Duties:
- Assist mom with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Monitor and report changes in health or behavior

Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience as a care giver, but medical training is not required
- Knowledge of caring for individuals with diverse needs and conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect clients' privacy

This position is being offered from a specific family rather than an agency, so we are certainly interested in finding the right care giver for our mom. In order to ensure there is a good personality match for our mother, candidates who are believers who enjoy conversation and reminiscing about the good ole days would be be a good personality fit.

The family is very involved with mom's care and will continue to be ,given that she needs 24/7 support. We are seeking someone who is available to care for mom 15-30 hours a week, and we can be flexible with schedules. As such, you will work along side family members to care for mom while family members take care of additional responsibilities such as shopping and running errands.
