Facilities Assistant II

W2 Contract

Salary Range: $62,400 - $72,800 per year

Location: Hayward, CA - Onsite Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all facility equipment, including HVAC systems, vacuum pumps, and generators.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues with the facility's equipment and infrastructure to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Assist with facility improvements and renovations as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure facility efficiency.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational or technical training in facilities maintenance or a related field is a plus.
• 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in the biotech industry
• Experience with working in a laboratory environment, facilities maintenance, and basic mechanical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills
• Committed to following all safety standards and procedures
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
• Willingness to be on call for emergencies.
