QED Systems, LLC is Hiring a SYSTEMS ENGINEER Near Frederick, MD
Duties
- Develop and refine the network/system design by effectively leveraging emulation test bed capability and other lab assets for the refinement and continual improvement of the GAIT.
- Support PM TN in network architecture development, in outlining evaluation criteria, developing experiments and test plans.
- Support PM TN in analyzing data and developing recommendations.
- Support PM TN in creating and maintaining a large virtual network emulation environment through available commercial tools and in-house development.
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) with other internal/external groups as the subject matter expert (SME).
- Understand variations of the PM TN, formerly WIN-T, network configuration and implementation Tactics, Techniques, Procedures (TTPs) associated with each.
- The candidate fulfilling these duties must be knowledgeable in the PM TN tactical terminals from a planning, implementation and troubleshooting perspective.
- Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
- Bachelor’s degree in networking/telecommunications required.
- Four (4) years’ applicable work experience can be used as a substitute.
Work EnvironmentThis position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.
Physical DemandsPhysical demands of this position include ability to:
- Be independently mobile.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
- Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
- Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of WorkThis position includes 12-hour day shift (2-on, 2-off, 3-on, 2-off, 2-on, 3-off) 84hrs every 2 weeks. This Team operates as a component of the larger GAIT NSC Team on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
