Medical Comfort Specialists is Hiring a Packing Associate Near Fowlerville, MI

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for properly packaging inventory. This position may be asked to help with other tasks in the case of downtime, also includes reading drawings, filling out job travelers, and checking parts to make sure they are in tolerance and able to be passed down to the next processing station.


Education and Knowledge:

  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of Lean principles experience particularly 5S, Kanban implementation and traceability is preferred
  • An associates’ degree or some college is preferred


Experience/Skills and Competencies:

  • One year parts/warehousing related experience
  • One year in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to affirmatively meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
  • High-Lo operating experience
  • Ability to read part drawings
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work in a team as well independently as needed
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic
  • Ability to follow manufacturing schedules


Duties and Responsibilities:
.

  • Labeling and packaging parts per requirements
  • Keeping track of inventory and submitting purchase requests for packaging materials (boxes, bags, tape, wrapping foam...)
  • Operate forklift truck when necessary. Must be willing to be trained on forklift.
  • Count and Inspect all parts that have been worked on
  • Occasionally serving as a backup shipper and receiver when needed
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor in case of downtime
  • Some measurements of parts will be required too
  • Keeps all working areas clean and organized
  • Move parts to the next station to keep production lines going

  • None

  • Full-time; non-exempt position
  • General working hours are from 6:00am – 2:30pm M-F but may change with prior notice.
  • Overtime may be requested as necessary.
