Senior Cost Accountant, Fort Worth, TX

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the cost accounting function and providing support to the finance team. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the cost accounting function, including standard cost development and variance analysis • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports related to cost accounting • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures • Coordinate with external auditors on audit and tax matters related to cost accounting • Provide guidance and support to accounting staff related to cost accounting matters • Monitor and analyze inventory levels and costing processes • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement related to cost accounting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance • 5 years of experience in cost accounting • CPA or CMA certification preferred • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles and practices • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills • Excellent analytical and communication skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance • CPA or CMA certification preferred
