PGS Worldwide is Hiring a Quality Control Engineer Near Fort Wayne, IN

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Quality Control Engineer responsible for implementing a standard process for recertifying and extending shelf life of process material in support of ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Fort Wayne, IN. This is an initial 8-month contract-to-hire opportunity on the 1st shift Monday - Friday 7 am to 3 pm paying up to $35 per hour for qualified candidates.
Job DescriptionThis role will be responsible for mapping the existing process for recertifying and extending shelf life of process material, developing, and implementing a standard process for recertifying and extending shelf life of process materials.
Requirements
  • Previous manufacturing or quality experience with shelf life process material.
  • Solid manufacturing process knowledge/experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are critical to interact and communicate with other people effectively.
  • Being detail-oriented is an important to swiftly and accurately identify any potential quality concerns with a product.
  • Critical thinking: A quality engineer needs to have the ability to analyze and evaluate information, data, and situations logically and objectively.
  • Teamwork: A quality engineer needs to be able to work well with others, collaborate, and share ideas and feedback.
  • Able to drive continuous improvement.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • US Citizenship.
Desired
  • Degree in a technical field is highly recommended with 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality control methods.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action tools.
  • Experience with process mapping.
  • Understanding of the different types of process material and the life cycle of shelf life for process material.
  • Formal qualification to be related to field of work.
