FIELD SURVEYOR SUMMARY: Assists crew chief in surveying earth's surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, land division, titles, or other purposes by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record. Almost constant travel is required for this position.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge industry standard software, computer-aided drafting, GIS and GPS.
