Position Summary:
Nelson Pipeline is seeking a highly motivated Foreman based out of our Fort Lupton, CO office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a worksite to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently while effectively communicating with all departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervises a crew of up to 12 employees and prioritizes work
  • Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines
  • Drives safety culture and standards by conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring the crew is following all safety standards
  • Enforces all client-required safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain clean & safe jobsite
  • Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/construction duties, including project layout, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crewmember discipline and documentation
  • Is responsible for maintaining a fully staffed crew, interviewing, hiring and training employees, performance conversations, disciplinary action, addressing complaints, resolving problems and more
  • Attends branch operation meetings as required
  • Looks ahead 2 days to ensure efficient workflows and timely completion of projects
  • Responsible for locates
  • Reads plans & guide stakes
  • Establishes & builds client relationships
  • Strong understanding of math/geometry
  • Other job duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
This position is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Requirements:
  • Typical 40-60 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • High school education or GED
  • 3-5 years’ experience related experience
  • Previous verifiable underground utility horizontal sitework construction
  • Travel to jobsites and to Fort Lupton, CO office
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications
