Relying solely on commission, this role demands not only an entrepreneurial spirit but also a profound understanding of the intricate landscape of aircraft components, market trends, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

Relationship Building and Management

  • Cultivate a diversified network of sellers, including MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) facilities, airlines decommissioning older aircraft, salvage yards, and aftermarket parts manufacturers.
  • Regularly engage with key stakeholders in the industry, attending trade shows, conferences, and seminars to expand business contacts.
  • Provide post-sales support to ensure repeat business and foster long-term relationships.

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Implement sales strategies tailored to the ever-evolving aviation market, adapting to economic shifts, technological advancements, and regional demands.
  • Utilize digital platforms, including aviation forums, online marketplaces, and social media channels, to reach potential buyers.

In-depth Market Analysis

  • Leverage industry tools and analytics platforms to gain insights into supply-chain movements, pricing histories, and inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis to understand market share, pricing strategies, and unique selling propositions.

Documentation, Compliance, and Due Diligence

  • Thoroughly vet all parts, ensuring they come with proper documentation such as Form 8130-3, maintenance logs, or other required certifications.
  • Stay updated with changes in aviation laws and trade restrictions, especially for international transactions, ensuring all deals are above board.
  • Coordinate with aviation attorneys and compliance consultants when required to ensure airtight transactions.

Consultative Selling

  • Offer solutions that can be integrated into the buyer’s operations seamlessly, enhancing aircraft efficiency, safety, and longevity.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in aviation sales, parts distribution, or brokerage.
  • Established track record of successful deals, showcasing growth in sales figures and customer retention.
  • Proficiency in aviation industry software tools and CRM platforms.
  • Multilingual capabilities are advantageous for international dealings.

Physical and Soft Skills Requirements :

  • Ability to travel, sometimes with short notice, for inspections, meetings, or to secure timely deals.
  • High resilience and persistence, given the commission-based nature of the role.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with an innate ability to close deals without compromising on integrity or ethics.
  • Forward-thinking and proactive, always staying a step ahead in identifying opportunities and mitigating challenges.

Compensation :

The role is purely commission-based, with the potential for high returns based on the broker’s ability to secure profitable deals.

Specific commission rates may be negotiable based on experience, industry contacts, and past performance.
