Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and supporting their educational development, and experience working in childcare.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Support classroom management and create a positive learning environment
- Provide individualized attention to students to enhance learning
- Engage children in educational and fun activities
- Supervise children during various activities, and attend and complete required training and classes.

Skills:

- Experience working with preschool or daycare-aged children
- Knowledge of current early childhood education principles
- Proficiency in literacy education and math concepts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Patience, creativity, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude

We are a part time childcare and preschool located inside the Frist United Methodist Church in Fort Collins, CO. We are hiring for the 24-25 school year, for which training will begin in mid-August, and school begins the day after Labor Day, and then runs through late May. We are closed for summer break, as well as other holiday breaks. The hours are generally 8:30-1:30 Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. In addition, if you have any young children, they are able to come to our program for free.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
