Job Description and Requirements

We Are:
The group’s mission is to manage corporate-wide programs part of our Enterprise Program Management Office. The projects vary in nature and primarily related to software product development and release, product quality, industry standard compliance, and process re-engineering.
You Are:
A seasoned Program Manager who will drive Synopsys Quality Program and initiatives. You will use your exceptional program management skills to drive the software development organization transformation. You bring passion and hands-on experience in managing projects in an Engineering environment and you constantly look at improving processes and making peoples’ lives easier.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You will play a key role in devising and developing processes and measurement methods to optimize development effort for best "return-on-quality" and to promote best practices across the corporation.
You will guide and assist Product Teams in obtaining certification and be the go-to person for industry standards.
You will lead in a matrix type of organization and work closely with Engineering, Legal, IT, and Security teams. The projects involve cross-functional teams spanning international and organizational boundaries.
Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Develop and promote software development best practices
  • Develop and maintain our metric program
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys
  • Guide and lead product certification based on industry standards
  • Evaluate and manage process improvement and tool migration
  • Evaluate and devise plans for global engineering initiatives
The communication skills (written and verbal) are paramount to be successful in this position.
What You’ll Need:
  • You are an experienced Project/Program Manager
  • You must have solid knowledge in software development with a practical approach.
  • You are at ease in an engineering-savvy environment while enjoying dealing with business teams
  • You have defined and rolled out new scalable processes to an organization
  • You have industry standard knowledge (experience with ISO 9001 & ISO 26262 are an asset)
  • You need to demonstrate experience in influencing different levels of an organization and functional groups
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication, work independently, strong organizational and planning skills
  • You have experience managing far-reaching global complex projects spanning multiple organizations
  • You demonstrate ability to build relationships across functional teams
Requirements:
BS/MS with 10 years of relevant experience in technical area. Experience in dealing in medium to large software organizations.
BS with 10 years of relevant experience in Computer Science or EE, MS with 8 years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. with 5 years of relevant experience. Software quality management experience is required.
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $155,000 - $233,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a of a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
