We are looking for a talented Reliability Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Leads and executes the preventive, predictive, and condition based maintenance of production equipment.
- Works and leads teams in the maintenance organization.
- Coaches line employees on basic maintenance procedures.
- Works with Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering on problem identification, trouble shooting, and equipment issue resolution and repair.
- Maintains spare parts and indirect materials inventory by using a computerized maintenance management system.
- Contributes to equipment engineering design evaluations.
- Leads preventative maintenance processes to ensure equipment is available and capable.

- Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.
- Maintenance Reliability Engineering - Interprets maintenance records of machines, tools and components using failure management strategies and quantitative analyses to either resolve existing issues or to identify new technologies to reduce the probability of failure to acceptable limits to continuously update maintenance plans across the organization.
- Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
- Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project").
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
- Track production losses & high maintenance cost assets; find ways to reduce - Eliminate or reduce breakdowns through root-cause analysis - Develop troubleshooting documents for critical issues & train maintenance techs
- Manage predictive maintenance initiatives
- Use data to develop engineering solutions for repetitive failures & other issues that adversely affect plant operations
- Provide technical support to maintenance leaders and technical personnel
- Work with project engineers to ensure reliability of new and modified installations
- Participate in run-off of new installations to ensure adherence to design, TPM requirements & maintainability
- Work with operations to perform analysis on equipment OEE & implement improvements based on statistical data
- Lead, coordinate & maintain condition based maintenance initiatives, 5-year plan around equipment maintenance and reliability.
