Paralegal or Legal Assistant, Labor and Employment Group – Fergus Falls, MN
The Paralegal or Legal Assistant incorporates basic assistant duties but also includes providing assistance to attorneys and clients, preparing detailed reports and drafting documents. This position should have attention to detail, be a self-starter, and have the ability to work and complete tasks independently. Our work is fast-paced and challenging, but also mentally stimulating and interesting. Essential Responsibilities:
- Set up new client files, scan documents into correct file/folder, and keep files up to date.
- Collect potential client information.
- Follow up and complete assigned tasks.
- Coordinate meetings in conference rooms, ensure conference rooms are available and prepared.
- Timely on deadlines.

- Self-starter with ability to seek and complete tasks independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Perceptive and meticulous.
- Capacity to regulate and perform under stress.
Education/Experience:
- Prior law firm or financial-sector experience is preferred but not required.
- Pemberton Law will train suitable candidates.
Parameters:
- Full-time, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm equaling 37.5 hours per week.
- In-office (non-remote).
Additional Information:
This position is non-supervisory, receives an hourly rate of pay, and qualifies for overtime and fringe benefits. Physical requirements are sitting for extended periods and lifting/moving file boxes depending on needs of the day. Dress code is business casual.
