The AOC requires a Field TechSpecialist to support the Wake County Courthouse based at 316Fayetteville St Raleigh NC.

This is an onsiteposition.

The driving radius from the contractorshome to their assigned duty station should be at most 20 milesmaximum ideally 15.

• AOCengagements cannot go past the end of fiscal year. There is noguarantee of an extension beyond June 30.
• Provide customer support across counties listed inaccordance with Service Level Agreements set forth by the NCAOCs ITdepartment.
• Support personal computer systemsby installing configuring and maintaining hardware and software forjudicial staff.
• The driving radius from thecontractors home to their assigned duty station should be no morethan 20 miles maximum ideally 15.
• Expectationsof nonspecific responsibilities should include but are not limitedto the following :
• Remain abreast of rapidly changing hardware and softwaretechnology.
• Provide support to local areanetworks by installing maintaining and troubleshooting LAN hardwareand software that includes file servers routers switches and othertelecommunications equipment.
• Interface withJudicial Branch staff and local government officials.
• Listen to customers to identify problems then makenecessary corrections or assist vendors in correctiveactions.
• Facilitate moves and relocations ofjudicial facilities including courthouses and other officelocations.
• Provide training for judicial staffon an asneeded basis.
• Test and recommendhardware and software configurations on an asneededbasis.
• Participate in large technologydeployment projects that may include statewide software updatesserver upgrades and eCourts initiatives.
• Workis generally performed in an office environment. Occasional liftingof heavy objects is required. Applicant should be able to lift 75pounds.

As part of the process of configuring personal computersexposure to hazardous electrical computer components may occurrequiring extreme caution to be taken.

• Up to20% of overnight travel to locations across the state is requiredusing contractorowned vehicles. Travel reimbursementeligible.
• This position reports to the ITSupport Supervisor of the county in which is their dutystation.
• Work hours are 8 : 0 AM 5 : 00 PM MondayFriday. Hours beyond that would have to be approved by TSDmanagement.

KnowledgeSkills and Abilities / Competencies

Knowledge of :

• The design and implementation of Ethernet topologynetworks; Windows 10 / 11; Office 2016 / 365; SCCM / MECM; BitLocker;
• Cisco AMP; Cisco ISE; Windows Server 2012 / 16; PowerShell; computersystems to ensure that all components will integrate properly;
• software packages such as TN3270 SharePoint Designer and AdobeProfessional; Cisco servers routers voice gateways and switches;

and integration of all components.

• Skills in : installing personal computers and peripherals (e.g. printersscanners cameras fax machines and audiovideo equipment);
• usingindividual components; listening and communicating with customersto identify concerns analyzing needs and determininghardware / software solutions;

rigorous problem solving; andproviding excellent customer service.

• Minimum Education and ExperienceRequirements
• Bachelors degree in ComputerScience Computer Information Systems Computer Engineering MathEngineering or other related technical degrees from anappropriately accredited institution and one (1) year ofprogressive experience in the field of information technology;

oran equivalent combination of education and experience.
